Mr. Claude Strickland, age 85, of Fairmont, NC, passed away Friday, February 25, 2022 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Dillon, SC. He was born July 11, 1936 in Robeson County, NC.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Murdock & Isabell Darden Strickland; his wife, Lyzett Evans Strickland; a daughter, Wanda Webb; and his siblings: Robert Strickland, Fred Strickland, Monroe Strickland, Clyde Prevatt, Horace Strickland, Sally Hogg, Minner Locklear, Beulah Poston, Florence Johnson, and Letha Rollins.

He is survived by a daughter, Kay Chamberlin of Fairmont, NC; one grandson, Lonnie Webb, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2022,  from 1:00-2:30PM at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel, 1549 Marion Stage Road in Fairmont, NC. Following the visitation, a graveside service will be held at 3:00PM at the Evans Family Cemetery, 6347 Hwy 904 East in Fairmont, NC.
