Mr. Clarence Glenn Ransom of 209 Ruth Dial Street, Pembroke was born December 18, 1943 in Robeson County. He departed this life on Friday, September 24, 2010 at Morrison Manor in Laurinburg, making his journey of 66 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Ransom, Jr. and Iola Brayboy Ransom.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 27, 2010 at 3:00PM at the Floyd Funeral Home Chapel, 1546 Marion Stage Road, Fairmont with Rev. Grady Hunt, Dr. Timmy Chavis and Mr. Henry Chavis officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery in Fairmont.

He leaves to cherish his memories with a son, Timothy Ransom of Pembroke; three daughters, Sabrina ??Suzie? Locklear and her husband, Alex of Pembroke, Sarah Ransom and Angel Ransom, both of Charlotte; two sisters, Kaye Hernandez of Lumberton and Ellen Hunt of Rowland; his wife, Elizabeth Ann Ransom; three aunts, Quessie Locklear, Lessie Mae Oxendine and Ellen Oxendine; ten grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild and a special caregiver, Frances Brooks.

A time of visitation will be held on Sunday evening, September 26, 2010 from 7:00-9:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.

The family will receive visitors at the home of Alice Jacobs, 419 Shand Drive, Pembroke, NC.
