C.J. Bordeaux,
Sr.
Sep 13, 1953 — Apr 25, 2018
The Rev. Dr. C.J. Bordeaux, Sr., 64, of Rockingham, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at Moore Regional Medical Center.
Rev. Bordeaux is survived by his loving wife Donna Davis Bordeaux; his children: Jeremy Dollar and Jackson Bordeaux II; his grandchildren: Conley Bordeaux III, Miss Chloe Ann Bourdeaux; a very special daughter-in-law, Melissa Bordeaux (Yow); his brother Daryl Bordeaux and wife Terri; and two nieces: Rebecca Bordeaux and Leah Bryant.
He was predeceased by his mother and father, James Garland Bordeaux and Pauline Bordeaux.
Rev. Bordeaux was a Graduate of Campbell University and a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Germany as a Military Policeman. After leaving the Military, Rev. Bordeaux felt the Lord's call to serve as a pastor. Over many years, Rev. Bordeaux served as President of the North Carolina Baptist State Convention and also served on the executive committee for the Southern Baptist Convention. He later left the Pastorate to serve as the Director of Missions for Richmond and Scotland Counties.
Rev. Bordeaux was a man of integrity with a devout love for his Lord. He also held a special place in his heart for the local small church. His passion for serving Christ was felt by many and was a true testament to his character. Rev. Bordeaux always sought direction from the Bible. Whether it was popular or not, He stood on the inerrant and infallible word of God as his direction.
The family of Rev. Bordeaux will receive friends on Saturday, April 28, 2018, from 5:30-8:30 PM at Antioch Baptist Church in Lumberton N.C.
