Christopher Warren Stanland, age 10, of 818 Gaddy Rd. Fairmont passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. He was born July 11, 2002 in Robeson County. He was a 4th grade student at Rosenwald Elementary School in Fairmont. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Timothy Warren Simmons, Sr. He is survived by his parents, Christopher Ray Stanland and Paula Simmons Stanland of the home; one sister, Hannah Lee Stanland of the home; his paternal grandparents, Steve and Louvene Graham of Orrum; maternal grandmother, Brenda Simmons of Fairmont; two uncles, Timothy Warren Simmons, Jr. and Robert Lucas Simmons both of Fairmont. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 28th 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel with Rev. Jeff Broadwell officiating. Burial will follow in Britt-Jenkins Cemetery on Tobacco Rd. in Orrum. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 27th 2013 from 7-9 P.M. at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont and other times at the home of his grandmother, Brenda Simmons, 3072 NC Hwy. 904 Fairmont.
