Christopher "Chris" Thomas Haywood, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Monday, February 23, 2026.

Christopher was very passionate about his flooring business. He never met a stranger. He loved all people and would help anybody. He would go without so others could have.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlton Thomas Haywood and Glenda Jean Stone.

He was survived by his wife, Roschell Haywood of the home; two sons, Christopher Wayne Turner and Zachary Haywood, both of Lumberton; a daughter, Sidney Haywood of Raeford; two step-daughters, Sherry Williams (Stephen) of Lumberton and Stephanie Davis of Louisville, KY; two brothers, Carlton "Bud" Haywood of Lumberton and Roland Mitchell Collins (Gala) of Elizabethtown; three sisters, Rita Myers (Wayne) and Rolanda Stubbs (Duane), both of Lumberton, and Angie Long (Huey) of Dublin; and grandchildren, Chloe, Rose, Stephen, Elijah, Kaden, and Isla.

The visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2026 at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton, the funeral to follow at 3 p.m. with the Revs. Willie Jacobs and Jeffery Locklear officiating. Burial will follow at Floyd Memory Gardens in Lumberton.
