Christopher Anthony Simmons, 29, born January 10, 1993, departed this life on Sunday, December 11, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his Grandma Betty, Papa John, and his infant brother, John Ashton Simmons.

He is survived by his parents, Mark & Loria Simmons and Marilyn Chavis; his children: Caden Anthony Simmons (mother, Stephanie) and Matthew Landon Simmons (mother, Kelcey); his brothers: Joshua Simmons (Amber), Addison Simmons (Raegan), Rambo Derrick Chavis, Adam Phillips (Tasha), and Alex Phillips (Grace); his "sissy", Amber Fowler; his girlfriend, Mariah Hunt, and her daughter, Neveah Hunt; and a huge host of family and special friends.

Chris was a very loving and kind-hearted man who loved his family and friends to no end. He was persistent in every aspect of life. To know Chris was to love him. You could always count on him for lots of smile and laughter. He could light up any room with his presence alone. He enjoyed being with the ones he loved, as well as spending time listening to music and engaging with all the children in his life. He was a big kid at heart and enjoyed his life to the fullest.

The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Sunday, December 18, 2022, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5 ^th Street in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM with Rev. Tim Williford officiating.

A private burial will be held at a later date.
