Christopher Paul Britt, age 40, of Lumberton, NC passed away on Monday, November 25, 2013 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County, NC on November 2, 1973 to Bunyan Paul Britt and Anne Hardee Britt. Chris was a fine Christian young man who loved God and his church. He was a 1995 graduate of Lumberton Senior High School. He loved his school and also was a volunteer after graduation. Chris' special interests were love of country and all things patriotic, race cars, drag racing, and Notre Dame football. But above all he loved his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James C. and Dila Hardee and I.P. and Katie Meares Britt, Mr. Britt is survived by his parents B. Paul Britt and Anne Hardee Britt of the home; sister, Melissa Kaye Britt of the home; nephew, Paul Montgomery Britt of the home; uncles, Lester Cox of San Antonio, TX and James Wesley Hardee of Lumberton; aunts, Nancy Britt Cox of San Antonio, TX, Nina Hathorne and Lynda Britt both of Lumberton; several very special cousins; and a host of relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Asbury United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.
