Christine Stone Britt, 96, of Lumberton, NC, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, February 18, 2023. She was born to the late Grady & Minnie Stone on September 9, 1926 in Robeson County, NC. Mrs. Britt was a longtime member of Long Branch Baptist Church and retired after twenty-five years with JC Penney.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Forest Britt, Sr.

She is survived by her son, Albert Forest "Jerry" Britt, Jr. and wife Sue of Orrum, NC; her daughters: Brenda Graham and husband William Paul of Lumberton, NC, Cathy Wilson and husband Gary of Raeford, NC, and Cynthia McCormack and husband Mac of Winston-Salem, NC; six grandchildren: Suzanne Jackson (Derek), Chris Britt (Mandy), Stephanie Donenfeld (Brent), Kim McCormack, Brittany Wilson, and Austin Wilson; and one great-grandson, Tanner Jackson. The family would also like to recognize three special caregivers: Janet Lundy, Cathy Britt, and Rolanda Collins.

A time of visitation will be held prior to the service on Wednesday February 22, 2023, from 1:00-2:00PM at Long Branch Baptist Church, 8878 NC Hwy 72 E in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 2:00PM with Rev. Jeff Broadwell and Rev. Cole Dillinger officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton, NC.
