Ms. Christina "Chrissy" Ann Boyce, 42, of Lumberton, NC, passed away, Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at Rivers Edge of Lumberton. She was born in Portsmouth, VA on December 2, 1979.

Chrissy graduated from East Mecklenburg High School in 1998 where she served as a cheerleader for 4 years and the head cheerleader her senior year. Chrissy danced for 16 years, and 7 of those years she danced competitively earning many awards. She also served as Junior Miss Lumberton, Junior Miss Robeson County, as well as North Carolina Cinderella Miss and she won other NC State pageant titles.

Chrissy went on to graduate from North Carolina State University, receiving a bachelor's degree in Psychology. At the time Chrissy became ill, she was studying to receive her master's degree in Psychology, with a concentration in helping Autistic Children.

But, if asked, Chrissy would tell you that her greatest accomplishment was being the best daughter, friend, and mom to her Maltese, Austin T. Boyce, that she could be. On that, I believe, her family and friends would agree. Her smile and laughter were infectious and she was always there to lend a hand and make you smile.

She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Dean Boyce III; her stepfather, Richard Franklin Taylor, Jr., and her stepbrother, Richard Caldwell Taylor.

She is survived by her mother, Debbie Taylor of Lumberton, NC; her grandfather, Dick Taylor and his wife, Lenore of Lumberton, NC, her aunts: Cindy Mynatt of Lumberton, NC, Jan Sellers and husband Keith of Fairmont, NC, Betsy Harrington of Burlington, NC, Barbara Robinson of Pembroke, NC, Susan Anderson of Lumberton, NC and Donna Williams and husband Monroe of Lumberton, NC, and numerous cousins.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Chrissy's Rivers Edge family for their loving and compassionate care. They would also like to extend a special thanks to Community Home Care and Hospice for Chrissy's care and support to her mom during the last 9 years.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5 ^th Street in Lumberton, NC.
