Charlotte Fraser Nye, age 88, of Lumberton, NC died on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton.  She was born in Colleton County, SC on July 27, 1928 to the late Robert Fraser and the late Eugenia Robertson Fraser.  She was previously a teacher in the North Carolina Public School System.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jacob Carlyle Nye Jr.; and  a sister, Helen Weissenstein.

Mrs. Nye is survived by her sons, Carl Nye of Charleston, SC and Robbie Nye of Lumberton; a sister, Mary Ellen Goolsby of Columbia, SC; and two grandchildren.

A time of visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 from 4:00-6:00 PM at the home of Mrs. Nye.

The funeral service will be on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Lumberton First Presbyterian Church with Rev. David Ruth officiating.  Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery.
