Mrs. Charlotte Gifford Nelson-Scott, age 64, of Lumberton, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2014. She was born in Dodge City, Kansas on September 28, 1949 to the late Frank and Jane Gifford. She was a very active member in her churches, East Lumberton Baptist Church and Charity Baptist Church of Gray's Creek, NC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Gifford. She leaves behind cherished memories with her son, Roy James "R.J." Perry (Elizabeth) of Raleigh; four daughters, Charlene Harp of Louisiana, Carolyn "Sissy" Perry (Marty Ellis) of Bladenboro, Debbie Nelson Coulston (Rodney) of Waxhaw, Elizabeth Jane Perry Nelson of Lumberton and two grandchildren, Zachary Stone and Alexus Hunt, both of Bladenboro, and many nieces and nephews.
