Charles Ray Taylor, 62, of Lumberton, NC, died Friday, September 23, 2022, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC. He was born in Robeson County, NC on October 10, 1959.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Taylor, and his father-in-law, D.B. O'Shields.

He is survived by his mother, Hazel Taylor of Lumberton, NC; his wife of 41 years, Janet Taylor of the home; his children, Elizabeth Marshall (Travis) of Wake Forest, NC and Matthew Taylor (Kallee) of Lumberton, NC; one brother, Jeff Taylor (Deanna) of Evergreen, NC and his sons, Isaac Taylor and Davis Taylor; a sister-in-law, Susan Sauls of Easley, SC and her daughter, Emily Sauls; his mother-in-law, Sarah Lee O'Shields of Easley, SC; and five grandchildren: Maddox, Laney, Levi, Bryson, and Caroline.

The visitation will take place on Monday, September 26, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC. Burial will follow in New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton, NC.
