Obituary

Charles "Jay" Smith Jr., 53, passed away Friday, June 28, 2019, at his home in Lumberton, NC. He was born April 16, 1966 in Robeson County to the late Treva P. Smith and Charles J. Smith, Sr.  Jay worked at the DMV for 10 years.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Treva P. Smith; his grandparents: Harvey Smith, Sr. and Fleta Smith and Wade Prevatte and Voline Prevatte; and his aunt, Mary Morgan.
He is survived by his father, Charles J. Smith, Sr. of Lumberton; his brother, Bob Smith and wife Michelle and their daughter, Cara, all of Jamison, PA; and two special people in his life, Wayne Britt and wife Francis.

Friends are invited to attend Mr. Smith's visitation on Monday, July 1, 2019, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary and Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at 10:00 AM at Floyd Memory Gardens, 3720 Old Whiteville Road in Lumberton.
