Charles Ivey, age 71, of Orrum, passed away Friday, December 21, 2012 at Woodhaven Nursing Center in Lumberton. He was born on May 5, 1941 in Robeson County to the late Cleve Ivey and the late Annie Britt Ivey. He was formerly employed as an insulator in construction.

Mr. Ivey is survived by his wife, Ann Ivey, of the home; two sons, Charles Wayne Ivey and girlfriend, Melinda, of the home, and Jonathan Michael Ivey and wife, Crystal, of Monroe; one brother, Bob Ivey, of Orrum; one sister, Phyllis Eisle, at Fairmont; a special aunt, Louise McLean, of Lumberton; and three grandchildren, Coty Wayne Ivey, of the home, and Bentley Michael Ivey, of Monroe, and Justin Brent, of Inman; three great-grandchildren and a special friend, Don Russ, of Lumberton.


A time of visitation will take place on Sunday, December 23, 2012 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. and other times at the home of Mrs. Louise McLean, 13496 Hwy 72 East, Lumberton.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 24, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Harley Townsend and Rev. James Graham officiating. Burial will follow at Ward??s Cemetery in Orrum.
