Mr. Charles Curtis Hardin, age 56, of 2329 Hardin Farm Rd., Fairmont, died Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Bethesda Methodist Church Cemetery. with Rev. Brian Perry officiating.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 11, 2012 from 1:00-2:00 PM, prior to the service, at Bethesda Methodist Church.

Mr. Hardin was born on April 26, 1956 in Robeson County. He was employed at Robeson County Solid Waste for 27 years. Fishing was his favorite pastime. He was also a member of Bethesda Methodist Church of Fairmont.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gary Lendell and Doris Nance Hardin; a sister, Lynn Nance Hardin; and a brother, Lendell Jordan Hardin.

He is survived by aunts and uncles, Evelyn N. Scalf and husband, Bob of Bath, NC, Betty N. Smith, of Black Mountain, NC, Felix Hardin and Lamon and Ruth Hardin, all of Fairmont, Geraldine Miller of Little River, SC; one brother, Matt Pittman; one sister, Marcia Blackwell; a niece, MaKenzie Blackwell; a nephew, Zach Pittman and also many cousins and friends.
