CHARLES RENEE GRIMSLEY – 80

FAIRMONT - Charles R. Grimsley, 80, of Fairmont, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at home after an extended illness.

Charles, a native of Robeson County, was born February 5, 1936. Charles enlisted in the United States Army, serving in England and Germany. He was retired from the Robeson County Public School Bus Garage.

Charles was preceded in death by a daughter, Pheobe Renee Grimsley; his father, H. Alton Grimsley; and his mother, Lorraine Lewis Grimsley.

Charles is survived by his wife of 52 years, Betty; a son, Al Grimsley and his wife, Lisa; two precious granddaughters, Ava Grace and Loralai Eve, all of Fairmont. In addition, Charles has numerous cousins and extended family.

A time of visitation will be held on Friday, May 13, 2016 from 10:00-11:00 AM at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.

A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 13, 2016 at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel in Fairmont. Burial will follow at Floyd Memorial Cemetery in Fairmont.
