Mr. Charles Lowell Floyd, age 82, of Fairmont passed away Monday, July 13, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 11:00 am in Floyd Memorial Cemetery in Fairmont. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 15, 2015 from 7:00-9:00 pm at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont. He was born January 12, 1933 in Robeson County to the late Robert Oscar Floyd, Sr. and Sadie Lewis Floyd. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Roy Levi Floyd; two grandchildren, Matthew Brayboy and Jamie Clemons; four brothers, Thomas, Henry, Robert Oscar, Jr., and Gerald Floyd; one sister, Ellen Rose Mc Girt. He is survived by his wife, Carol Floyd of the home; five sons, Charles Lowell Floyd, Jr. of Dunn, NC, Dennis Floyd of Mooresville, NC, Donald Floyd, Sr., of Fairmont, NC, Michael Floyd, Sr., of Cheraw, SC, and Billy J. Floyd of Fairmont, NC; six daughters, Johanna Norton of McColl, SC, Patsy Marlowe of Marion, SC, Jeannette Carpenter of Ceres, Va., Jennie Oxendine of Lumberton, NC, Janna Walters of Lumberton and Becky Clemons of Ceres, Va. ; two sisters, Shirley Jenkins of Fairmont, NC and Willie Vaughn of Port Orange, Fla.; 42 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren.
