Charles "Fletcher" Baxley, age 76, of Lumberton, NC passed away at his home on Sunday, May 04, 2014. He was born in Dillon County, SC on December 6, 1937 to the late, Daniel Carl Baxley and the late, Retha Hayes Baxley. Mr. Baxley is survived by his wife, Edith R. Baxley of the home; a son, Charles Franklin Baxley and wife, Lisa of Lumberton; daughters, Kathy A. Baxley and Sherry B. Edwards both of Lumberton; brother, Duncan Baxley of Fort Meade, MD; sisters, Ann McGee of Smyrna, GA, Rachel Muse of St. Pauls, Katheryn Dunbar of Cummings, GA, and Barbara Allen of Lumberton; and three grandchildren, Benji Edwards, Alana Baxley, and Syndi Baxley. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev. George Connor and Rev. Mark Hall officiating. Burial will follow in New Hollywood Cemetery.
