Charles David Evers, age 67, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at his home. He was born in Robeson County on November 7, 1948. He served honorably in the US Army and was formerly employed with Buckeye Corporation.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David & Alice Bullard Evers, and his wife, Brenda Britt Evers.

He is survived by his daughter, Katherine Evers and husband Jonathan Lewis of Lumberton; 3 sisters: Marthaleen Kirby, Faye Bryan, & Blendia Berry; and 2 granddaughters: Julianna Campbell & Brianna Campbell.

A time of visitation will take place on Saturday, July 2, 2016, from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 3, 2016, at 3:00 PM at Eastwood Holiness Church with Pastor Mark Simmons officiating. Burial will follow at Evers Family Cemetery.
