Charles "Chuckie" Deese age 62, of Fairmont, passed away Tuesday,  July 9, 2019 at Duke Medical Center in Durham, N.C.

Chuckie was born December 22, 1956 in Mecklenburg County, N.C.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Deese and Lib Deese; a sister, Peggy Oxendine; an uncle Roy D. Oxendine.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Deese of Lumberton; six sons, Anthony Deese, Charles Ray Deese, Scottie Deese and Jezreelite Deese all of Lumberton, Lonnie Deese and Tegulia Deese both of St. Pauls; three sisters, Debbie Deese, Charlene Joseph, and Anna Deese all of Fairmont; a special aunt Jeannette Deese of Lincolnton; a special friend, Marlena Landesman of Lumberton; twenty-nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, July 12, 2019 from 1-3pm at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.

Funeral services will follow the visitation on Friday, July 12, 2019 at 3:00pm in Floyd Funeral Services Chapel with Rev. Graylon Mitchell officiating.

Burial will follow in McDonald Church of God in Fairmont.
