Chalmers Freeman, age 65, of Lumberton, NC passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Care Center in Whiteville. He was born in Robeson County, NC on December 11, 1947 to the late James Robert Freeman and the late Helen Baker. He was a self-employed electrician. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Robert Freeman and Helen Baker DeJulia and his wife Jeanette Clark Freeman. Mr. Freeman is survived by a son, Glenn Freeman of Lumberton; a daughter, Jennifer Freeman Hunt of Pembroke; three grandchildren, Cassondra Lynn Freeman, Hayden Jonathan Hunt, and Gracey Elizabeth Hunt; and a host of family and friends. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at 3:00 PM. Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton. Visitation will be on Saturday, November 2, 2013 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.
