Catherine Ann Taylor, was born on May 29, 1947 in Conneaut, Ohio. The Lord freed her from her life of pain and suffering on Monday, October 28, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, David A. Fisher, Sr. & Georgiana Fisher; her oldest brother, David A. Fisher, Jr., and her husband, James Taylor.

Left to cherish her memory are her youngest brother, Richard A. Fisher (Lee) of Fairmont; a daughter, Susan Amanda Mauney and Darrell "Tinker" Wayne Anders of the home; one son, Samuel Andrew Mauney of Pembroke; four grandchildren: Janie, Lilian, Silas, and Ellarie; one great-grandson, Kaydence; a nephew, Michael; and two nieces, Angie and Gail, as well as a host of friends, also known as her "phone buddies".

Cathy, as she was called by family and friends, had several hobbies. She loved to knit and cross-stich. She enjoyed doing for others – like making baby doll baskets with hand-knitted afghans and blankets to go in them. She also enjoyed talking with her friends - her "phone buddies" - on the telephone.

The visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. Fifth Street in Lumberton. The family will also be receiving visitors at the home, 30 Singletary Church Road in Lumberton.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC, with Rev. Jeff Broadwell, Sr. and Rev. Randy Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens, 3720 Old Whiteville Road in Lumberton.
