Joseph Cary Branch, age 79, of Lumberton, NC, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Lower Cape Fear Life Care in Whiteville, NC. He was born to the late Claude & Emma Branch of Lumberton, NC on July 3, 1944. Mr. Branch worked at Alamac Knits for 37 years.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Branch was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Libby Branch; his brothers, Charles Branch & Robert Earl Branch of Lumberton; and his sister, Catherine Thompkins of Lumberton, NC.

He is survived by his daughters, Mackenzie Branch Pait (Steven) of Thomasville, NC & Leslie Branch Britt (Jeff) of Lumberton, NC; 3 grandchildren: Emma Laine Pait of Thomasville, NC, and Noah Chuck Britt & Charlie Elizabeth Britt, both of Lumberton, NC; a sister, Claudia Cooke (Larry); a brother-in-law, Kenny Caulk of Franklinton, NC, and sister in-law, Ruby Kempf (Chuck) of Fairmont, NC; special friends, Linda Hester and Greg & Juanita Pait all of Lumberton, NC; several cousins, nieces & nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memory Gardens, 3720 Old Whiteville Road in Lumberton, NC, with Rev. Mark Meadows officiating.
