Carson Oxendine, age 88, of Fairmont passed away Saturday July 28, 2018 at Glenflora in Lumberton.

Visitation will be held Monday July 30, 2018 from 7:00-9:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.

A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday July 31, 2018 at 3:00PM at Reedy Branch Baptist Church with Revs. Hilton Woodell, DuFree Cummings, and Brother Roger Chavis officiating.

Burial will follow in Reedy Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Oxendine was born on May 10, 1931 in Robeson County.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Fairfax and Maddie Oxendine; and all of his brothers and sister.

He is survived by his wife Emma Hunt 'Mammy' Oxendine of the home; four sons, Eugene Oxendine and Mari of Conway, SC, and Darnell Oxendine, Ray Carson Oxendine, and Henry Allen 'Bunker' Oxendine and Hilda, all of Fairmont; three daughters, Susan Locklear and Rudolph of Rowland, Sue Sanderson and Michael of Fairmont, and Betty Locklear and Glenn of Lumberton; sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
