Carrie Mae Hardin Tilley, 71, of 148 Pate Street, Lumberton, NC died in her home Sunday September 1, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gus & Lillie Mae Speight Hardin; two sisters, Pauline and Bertha Mae; a daughter, Joann Tilley McMillian; and a granddaughter, Heather Joann Tilley. Mrs. Tilley is survived by a daughter, Ella Rose Byrd and husband race (Eddie) Byrd of Lumberton; five brothers, Stanley Hardin of Lumberton, William H. Hardin of the home, Frank Hardin and wife Jeanette, James Hardin and wife Naomi, and Wayne Hardin and wife Brenda, all of Lumberton; one sister, Shirley Miller of the home; two grandchildren, Jimmy Tilley and fiancé Tina of the home and Ella Mae Tilley Diaz and husband Emiliano Diaz of Lumberton; an adopted granddaughter, Tanya Callahan of Lumberton; ten great-grandchildren, Roger and fiancé Casey, Carrie Jo, William, Miguel, Joseph, Johanna, Daniel, Kimberly, Cody, Bradley; three nieces, five nephews; a very special cousin, Judy Ann Valencia; and a host of relative and friends.
