Carrie Bell Jacobs' Obituary
Carrie Bell Edwards Jacobs, age 92, of Lumberton, NC passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. She was born in Robeson County, NC on May 1, 1923 to the late Henry and Lula Edwards. She previously worked as a sewing machine operator for Jasper Textiles.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Alton Ray Lewis; a daughter, Brenda Kay Bass; a brother, Talmadge Harden; sisters, Hazel Ledford, Ernestine Hinson, Clementine Britt, and Katheleen Hales.
Mrs. Jacobs is survived by her husband, Harold D. Jacobs; a son, Mikey Lewis (Audrey) of Lumberton; daughters, Bonnie May Brewer (Bradley) of Lumberton, Patricia Ann Nance (Charles) of Lumberton, Faye D'Ippolito (Richard) of Pittsburgh, PA, and Betty Ratley of Lumberton; a brother, Delton Harden of Raeford; a sister Geraldine Garrett of TN; fifteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2015 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.
The funeral service will be on Monday, December 28, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev. Charles Jones and Rev. William Locklear and Pastor Michael Gist officiating. Burial will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens in Lumberton.
In lieu of flowers memorials are encouraged to be made to Southeastern Hospice House, 1100 Pine Run Drive, Lumberton, NC 28358.
