Ms. Carrie Bell Oxendine Hunt was born May 14, 1934 in Robeson County to the late Archie and Mary Jane Oxendine. She transitioned this life on Thursday, April 12, 2018 ending her journey of 83 years.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, S. M. Hunt (Snook); two sisters, Maggie Revels and Edith Locklear; and two grandsons, Deron Hunt and Kasey Meza.

She is survived by five daughters, Carol Bullard (Glenn), Annette Sampson (Jonathan), Jennie Oxendine (Wesley), Jessie Hunt (Stacey) AND Anna Hunt; four sons, Ronald Hunt (Verna), Sanford Hunt (Wanda), Jerry Hunt (Patty), and T.H. Hunt (Nicole); one brother, R.L. Oxendine; four sisters, Maggie Locklear, Peggy Hunt, Lula Hunt and Annie Rogers; twenty two grandchildren; thirty seven great grandchildren; and a great host of other relatives and friends; and a special caregiver, Wanda Harris.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 15, 2018 at 2pm at Benson Chapel Baptist Church.

Burial will follow in Benson Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday evening from 6-8pm at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.
