Carolyn Julia Onorato, age 81, of Lumberton passed away at UNC Southeastern Regional Medical Center on Sunday, September 15, 2024. Carolyn was born in Tarrytown, New York on May 9, 1943 to the late Stephen Lukavic and Theresa D`Agaris Lukavic. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Richard J. Onorato.

Carolyn had many jobs throughout her life but retired as the administrator of an upper body rehabilitation center. Carolyn was a great cook and fed many over the years. She loved animals of all kinds, especially dogs. She had many friends whom she loved dearly. Carolyn was a faithful prayer warrior who truly loved life. She had been very active at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Lumberton.

Carolyn is survived by a son, Richard A. Onorato of the home, very close friend, Rose Walker, and many other family members.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 6:00PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5th Street, Lumberton. Visitation will follow the service until 8:00PM. Rev. Rick Astle will officiate the service.
