Carolyn McKenzie Miller, age 81, of Lumberton, formerly of Fairmont, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at her home. She was born in Lumberton on November 2, 1943 to William Foster McKenzie, Sr., and Reva Caroline Jenkins McKenzie. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, William Foster McKenzie, Jr.

Carolyn owned Carolyn's Beauty Salon in Fairmont, NC for many years until her retirement. She was an avid reader. Carolyn enjoyed working in her yard growing many types of flowers, especially roses, until her health prevented her work. Carolyn found great peace watching the birds in her latter years.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter,  Caroline Adcock; son, Richard Johnson Miller, II, and wife, Michelle; grandchildren: Jeremy Adcock and Tiffany Lindsey, Raumel Lorick and Samantha M. Adcock, Tyler Miller and wife, Kacy, Dustin Miller and wife, Bayley, and Brandon Adcock and wife, Samantha Lynn Adcock; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Friends and family are welcome to visit and share condolences at the home of Samantha M. Adcock. Carolyn's wishes were that a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
