Carolyn Jones Britt, 82, of Orrum, NC, died on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Carolyn will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a lifetime member of Broad Ridge Baptist Church in Orrum, where she was also the church organist for 62 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Owen Manly Jones and Eva Gray Jones and a brother, Leslie Jones.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 63 years, Gerald Britt; two daughters, Valinda Britt of Laurinburg and Rosalind Beck (Jim) of Fredericktown OH; a brother, Johnny Jones of Calabash; a sister-in-law, Deanna Jones of High Point; three grandchildren, Christopher, Richard (Courtney), and Gerald (Brandi) and four great grandchildren, Nehailyn, Ryder, Lillian, and Waylon.

There will be a visitation held on Sunday, August 31, 2025 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Broad Ridge Baptist Church in Orrum. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 3:00 pm in the Church sanctuary. Burial will immediately follow the funeral service in the cemetery of Broad Ridge Baptist Church.
