Carol Oxendine Hunt, age 72 of Lumberton passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 6,2013 at 7:00 P.M. at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel with Revs. Scott Hammonds, Elton B. Hunt, and Hilton Woodell officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 6, 2013 from 4:00-P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont. Burial will be Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at New Bethel Holiness Methodist Church Cemetery. She was born June 8, 1941 in Robeson County. She was a member of New Bethel Holiness Methodist Church and worked with BB&T Bank for many years. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Council and Rosa Lee Brewer Oxendine; three brothers, Steward, Elery and James Arnold "Sam" Oxendine. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Carnelious Hunt, Jr. of the home; a son, Ricky Hunt and wife Michelle of Fairmont; two sisters, Cleatis O. Hunt of Fairmont and Evelyn O. Locklear of Prospect; two grandsons, Cody of Galin Hunt of Fairmont; a special cousin and caregiver, Sandra Webb.
