Carlton Fipps, age 80, of Lumberton, NC passed away on Monday, April 20, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Robeson County, NC on December 18, 1934 to the late Odell Fipps and Melese Rhodes Fipps. He was preceded in death by his parents, Odell and Melese Fipps; four brothers, Leewood Fipps, Horace Fipps, Nelson Fipps, and Faron Fipps; and one sister, Cletus Fipps Bryant. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 58 years, Doris Fipps; a daughter, Gina Fipps Bryant and husband, Tom Bryant of Lumberton; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Brandon Bryant and his wife, Brandie Bryant and their daughter, Emmie, of Minot AFB, ND, Summer Hickman and husband, Joshua Hickman, and their daughter Alice of Cary, and Kiersten Bryant of Lumberton; and a sister, Redell Fipps of Lumberton. A time for visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton. The funeral service will be on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Antioch Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Meadows and Pastor Kevin Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens in Lumberton.
