Carey Joyner Floyd, age 78, of Fairmont, NC, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at his home. He was born February 10, 1944 to the late Fred Williams Floyd and Lillian Bullock Floyd.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Francis Rowland Floyd and Ralph McMillian Floyd, and two sisters, Elizabeth Floyd Canaday and Pearl Floyd Saleeby.

He is survived by one brother, Richard Williams Floyd of Lexington, NC, and a sister, Hilda Floyd Merrill (David) of Wilmington, NC.  Carey has numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Cemetery, 1549 Marion Stage Road in Fairmont, NC.
