Cameron Reid Hunt, age 21, of Fairmont, NC passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023 at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC. He was born December 6, 2001 in Robeson County.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Ray Hunt; his paternal grandmother Almeaner Strickland, and his maternal grandmother, Gladys Oxendine and an uncle Valdoston Strickland.

Cameron was a graduate of Fairmont High School; he worked as an electrician. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. In his spare time, he was a volunteer with the Fairmont Rural Fire department. He had a great sense of humor and he loved his family.

He is survived by his mother, Annette Oxendine Hunt of the home; two sisters, Ashley Lewis (Ricky) of Fairmont, NC and Courtney Hunt (Chris) of Lumberton, NC; three nieces, Hailey Lewis, Journee Lewis, and Kynnady Hunt; one nephew, Tyee "Aiden" Lewis; his maternal grandfather, Johnsie (Red) Oxendine; his life long friends, Logan, Lea, Tater, and Maggie; special friends, Caleb, JB, Braxton, Isaiah, Joe, and Shawn; his Smokey Dirt Road friends and Fairmont Rural Fire Department Family and a great host of cousins, aunts, uncles other family and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 7-9 PM at Fairmont Rural Fire Department 203 Mulberry St. Fairmont, NC.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 17, 2023 at 2PM at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel in Fairmont with Revs. Johnny Hyatt, David Hyatt, and Michael Cromartie officiating.  Burial will follow in Reedy Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
