Mr. Cale Tacoby "Coby" Lowery, age 21, of Lumberton, North Carolina, was born to Cale Brantley Lowery and Amy Lowery on April 15, 2002. He departed from his temporal home on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mr. Wilson Chavis and Mrs. Mary Hunt Chavis.
Cale was in his junior year of college at UNC-Pembroke with a major in political science. As a young Republican, he began his political career as campaign manager for John Cummings for Robeson County Commissioner. After a successful election, he interned for the Ted Budd for Senate campaign. Cale was selected to be a participant in the Foundation of Government internship program with Chief Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court, Paul Newby. From 2021 to 2022, he was the Regional Engagement Coordinator for the RNC Native American Community Center. His reach was so impactful in Robeson County that he was rehired in 2023 for the presidential election cycle.
After receiving the Holy Ghost on April 18, 2021 and being baptized in Jesus Name on October 31, 2021, Cale felt a call to ministry. He was a devoted member of Up Church, Red Springs where he served as youth minister, adult Sunday School teacher, and Sunday School Director. He had completed ministerial training and was on track to obtain his local minister license.
Cale enjoyed coffee dates and thrifting with his wife, Alina. Being with his family and friends, involvement in politics, and learning history were his favorite ways to spend his time. Cale's character was evident by his devotion to Bible reading, spending time in prayer and his commitment to church events.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Alina Rose Lowery of the home; his parents, Cale Brantley & Amy Lowery of Fairmont, NC; his paternal grandmother, Junie Jacobs (Al, Ashley, Amber) of Lumberton, NC, and his paternal grandfather, Raymond Lowery, of Lumberton, NC; two uncles, Craig Chavis (Dora Lee) of Pembroke, NC, and Brian Chavis of Fairmont, NC; his cousin/sister, Caitlin A. Chavis (Wayne Riggle) and her son, Zayne Riggle; his mother-in-law, Anna Blue, and sister-in-law, Abigail Blue; his lifelong friends, Hensley Norton, Jr., Tyler Locklear, and Kendrick Oxendine; and two special friends, Jamie McGee and James Callahan.
