Rance Edward "Buddy" Clark, age 77, of Lumberton, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at Wesley Pines Retirement Community in Lumberton. He was born August 5, 1940, in Edgecombe County to the late Rance E. Clark, Sr. and the late Josephine Flood Clark. He was a veteran of the US Army and the National Guard and, later, the former store manager of Eckerd's Drugstore.

Buddy is survived by his wife, Betty Kate Strider Clark of the home; his children: Glen Clark and wife Zorina of High Point, Kimberly Brooks and husband Jonathan of Pinehurst, Sheila Cabral and husband Anthony, Sr. of Lumberton, and Karen Price Roberts and husband Mike of Lumberton; seven grandchildren; his brother, Hugh Clark and wife Betsy of Goldsboro; and his sister, Betsy Williams and husband Rod of Newport.

The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service on Thursday, May 24, 2018, from 10:30-11:00 AM at Floyd Memorial Chapel. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jeff Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton.
