Bruce Eugene Naylor, age 83, of Lumberton, passed away Friday, October 12, 2012 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center, Lumberton. He was born on November 1, 1928 in Sampson County, to the late Tilghman Naylor and the late Gurda Daughtry Naylor. He was self-employed as the owner operator of Naylor Tom??s Sales Inc.

Mr. Naylor was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He retired after 57 years with Tom??s Food Sales, Inc. He enjoyed traveling to the beach and spending time with family and friends. He was also an ordained deacon at East Flat Rock Baptist Church in East Flat Rock, NC.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved son, Gary Bruce Naylor and two brothers, Paul G. Naylor and Ray R. Naylor.

Mr. Naylor is survived by his wife, Maxine Blackmon Naylor, of the home; one daughter, Beverly Naylor Fellers and husband, Johnny, of Camden, SC; his son??s wife, Julie Sawyer, of Dillon, SC; four brothers, James T. Naylor, of Sanford, Floyd Naylor, of Raleigh, Donnie Naylor, of Roseboro, and Johnny Naylor of Winston-Salem; one sister, Faye Barefoot, of Roseboro; four grandchildren, Dr. Brian Naylor and wife, Michele, of Florence, SC, Brad Fellers and wife, Jessica, of Matthews, NC, Molly F. Eckenroth and husband, Kyle, of Camden, SC, and Philip Naylor and wife, Lauren, of Charlotte, NC; and seven great-grandchildren, Ella Naylor, Alaina Naylor, Hampton Naylor, J.B. Fellers, Liz Eckenroth, Ellie Eckenroth, and Rex Naylor.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 15, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, with Dr. David Elks and Rev. Joe Bounds officiating. Burial will follow at Floyd Memory Gardens. Visitation will follow services at graveside.
