Bruce Wilson McQueen, 50, of 524 Long Branch Drive, died Sunday, January 11, 2009 at his residence.
He was born to the late Dan and Ruth Prevatte McQueen on August 16, 1958 in Greensboro, NC.
He was a graduate of Red Springs Highschool. He received a degree in Agriculture at Robeson
Community College. He also worked 28 years in the Tree Business and is currently employed with Davey
Tree as a Regional Safety Specialist. He was a loving husband, Daddy and friend.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Gail Henderson McQueen of the home; his son, Daniel ??Dan?
Lee McQueen of the home; his brother, Jay McQueen and wife, Jackie of Red Springs; his in-laws, LeRoy
and Bernice Henderson of Lumberton; two brother-in-laws, LeRoy Henderson Jr. and wife, Susan of Tar
Heel and Gary Henderson and wife, Marie of Lumberton; three nieces, Dawn Brown and husband, Dan of
Wilmington, Elizabeth McQueen of Red Springs and Hannah Henderson of Lumberton; his nephew, Garron
Henderson of Lumberton; and many loving relative and friends.
The fuenral service will be Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Long Branch Baptist Church
with Pastors Jeff Broadwell and Gary Henderson officiating.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 13, 2009 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Floyd Mortuary &
Crematory, Inc.
Burial will take place Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at Floyd Memory Gardens.
