Mr. Bruce Welever Curry, age 87, of Lumberton, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Southeastern Health in Lumberton. He was born in Pasadena, CA on May 12, 1926 to the late Alvie Edwin Curry and the late Florence Evelyn Curry. He previously worked as a service man for Southern Bell Telephone Company and was a veteran of the US Army Air Corps. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Bray Curry; his son, Bobby Curry; his daughter, Evelyn Curry Lewis; his brother, Eugene Curry; his granddaughter, Maria Lewis and his grandson, Jeff Rabey. Mr. Curry is survived by two sons, Wayne Curry and wife, Carolyn of Walkertown, NC and Edwin Curry of Lumberton, NC; a daughter-in-law, Frances Curry of Morganton, NC; five grandchildren, John Rabey, Christy Curry, B.J. Curry, Elizabeth Lewis and Dean Lewis and two great-grandchildren, Michael and Amanda Rabey. A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 2:00PM at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton with Rev. Thomas Willoughby officiating.
