Brian Daniel Turner, 42, of Newberry, SC, formerly of Lumberton, departed life on June 3, 2015. He was born on November 19, 1972. He is survived by his parents, Bobby and Dianne Turner of Lumberton, NC, and Jo An Schultz of Newberry, SC He leaves behind two brothers, Robert Turner, of St. Pauls, Edward Lowe of Lumberton, and a sister, Rhonda Lowe Williamson of Lumberton, along with their spouses and several nephews and nieces. He is the grandson of Howard and Laura Mae Turner of Lumberton, and of the late Viola Branch. Brian was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving aboard the USS Butte AE-27, and continued to be a proud Boatswain's Mate ever after, with the nickname of Bosun T. following him. Fair winds and following seas! "Brian Turner, Departing, All Hands; hand salute, Ready To." Family will receive visitors at 5210 Fayetteville Road, Lumberton, NC. Visitation will be Sunday, June 7 at 4 pm, with Memorial Service to follow at 5 pm, at New Life Church, located at 3990 Fayetteville Road, Lumberton, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to local Veteran's Affairs.
