Brenda Hodge Tyner, age 76, of Lumberton, NC, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023. She was born on August 24, 1946, in Lumberton to the late Willie Franklin Hodge and Louise Wilkins Hodge.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leon A. Tyner, Jr.; her brother, Jerry Douglas Hodge; and her sister, Betty Hodge Mousseau.

Brenda is survived by her son, Troy Britt (Karen) of Lumberton, NC; her daughter, Cheryl Tyner of the home; and her grandchildren: Dalton Britt (Michelle), Dillon Britt (P.J.), and Mason Tyner.

She enjoyed, most of all, spending her free time with her family whom she loved so dearly. She especially loved spoiling her grandbabies.

The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Sunday, July 16, 2023, from 2:00-3:00 PM at Antioch Baptist Church, 5089 Old Whiteville Road in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM with Pastor Blake Dodd officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery, 5190 N. Fayetteville Road in Lumberton, NC.
