Brenda Jo Thompson Tanner, age 74, of Fairmont, NC passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. Brenda was born March 28, 1948 in Marion, SC, to the late Joe Thompson and the late Coleen Bass Thompson.

She is survived by three sons, Robbie Hill (Sheila) of Fairmont, NC, Austin Jacobs (fiancé Mia) of Lumberton, NC, and Leonel Jimencz of Fairmont, NC; two daughters, Tammy Hill and Mia Jacobs both of Fairmont, NC; four brothers, Jimmy Earl Thompson (Karen) of Raleigh, NC, James Nathan Thompson (Barbara) of Greensboro, NC, Danny Thompson (Brenda), and Greg Thompson both of Fairmont, NC; two sisters, Emily Ford (Chester), and Linda Thompson both of Fairmont, NC; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a special family friend, Kandi Rogers of Fairmont, NC, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 11:00 AM in Floyd Memorial Cemetery 1549 Marion Stage Rd. Fairmont, NC with Rev. Jackie Spiller officiating. Family will visit with friends following the service at the graveside.
