Brenda Sue Britt Nichols, age 77, of Evergreen, NC, formerly of Lumberton, NC, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at WakeMed Hospital in Raleigh, NC. She was born in Robeson County, NC on April 14, 1945 to the late Curly Britt and the late Ganelle Williamson Britt.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers: Edison Britt, Billy Britt, Jimmie Britt, and Jerry Britt, and three sisters: Margie Moody, Ruby Baldwin, and Lynn Blackley.

She is survived by her children: Eugene Nichols, Jr. (Mary) of Winterville, NC, Stephanie Winn (Justin) of San Francisco, CA, and Colleen Burnett (Byron) of Hampstead, NC; two brothers, Stonie Ray Britt, Sr. (Doris) and Joe Britt, all of Lumberton, NC; one sister, Sallie Williamson of Evergreen, NC; and five grandchildren: Eugene III, Liam, Jacob, McKenna, and Finley.

A time of visitation will be held prior to the service on Sunday, October 30, 2022, from 1:30-2:30PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5 ^th Street in Lumberton, NC.

A funeral service will follow the visitation on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at 2:30PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev. Michael Bowen officiating.  Burial will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery, 5190 Fayetteville Road in Lumberton.
