Brenda Musselwhite Prevatte, age 71, of Lumberton, NC died at her home on Thursday, March 10, 2016.  She was born in Robeson County, NC on October 7, 1944 to the late Graham P. and Dorothy English Musselwhite.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Joe Prevatte; and a brother, Gerald Musselwhite.

Mrs. Prevatte is survived by her sons, Mike Connor and Billy Joe Prevatte, Jr. (Angela) all of Lumberton; daughters, Vickie C. Blake of Garner, and Teresa Prevatte Hursey (Johnnie) of Lumberton; a brother, Ronald Parker of TN; a sister, Betty Jean Martin (Charles) of Corpus Christi, TX; six grandchildren, Michael D. Connor, Jr., Alex W. Blake, Nicholas T. Stone; Alyssa R. Prevatte, Dalton W. Hursey, and Gemma N. Prevatte; and a special niece, Gail Prevatte Dudney of Lumberton.

A time of visitation will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 14, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev. Wade Hall officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowbrook Cemetery.
