Brenda Leggett Ford, age 84, of Lumberton, NC, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, April 12, 2026. She was born in Robeson County, NC on July 22, 1941 to the late Henry Wade Leggett and the late Marie McCormick Leggett. She was a former employee for the State of North Carolina and retired after 20 years of service.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, George L. Ford; her children: George L. Ford, Jr. (Tina) and Sandra Ford (David); her grandchildren: Joseph Atkinson (Brooklyn), Blake Ford ( Erin), Dr. Kyle Melvin (Cynthia), and Matthew Atkinson (Morgan); her great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Gracelyn, Braxton, Flynn, Luke, and Bryson; her sister, Susan L. Shaw; and her brother, Ronnie Leggett (Sherry).

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Gardens of Faith Cemetery, 5190 N. Fayetteville Road in Lumberton, NC, with Dr. David Elks officiating.
