Ms. Brenda Lee Carter Jones, age 57 of Fairmont, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2015 at the Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, NC. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel in Fairmont at 2:00pm Visitation will be Sunday, August 2, 2015 from 1:00PM-2:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont. Brenda was born August 21, 1957 in Robeson County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther Edmond "Luke" Carter and Myrtle Locklear Carter; her husband, James Allen Jones; and a brother, Jerry Carter. She is survived by one brother Luther Gary "Bud" Carter and wife Sharma of Fairmont ; five sisters, Ruby Hunt and husband Sandy, Jearldean Jones and husband Stanley, Elaine Griffin and husband Stanley all of Fairmont, Lucille Hunt and husband James Arnold and Elvie "Teanie" Bullard and husband Wilbert all of Pembroke; a special young man she helped raise, Oscar Scott of Fairmont, and a host of nephews and nieces whom she loved. A special thanks to her late husband's family and friends.
