Brenda Joyce Bartley Ratliff, 78, of Jonesville, VA, formerly of Fairmont, NC, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2026 at Norton Community Hospital in Norton, VA.  She was born in Robeson County, NC on November 26, 1947 to the late Frank Bartley and the late Almena Oxendine Bartley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Willie Edward "Buddy Row" Bartley, James Delton "Cody boy" Bartley, I.V. "Boot" Freeman, Lucy D. Bartley, Lynda Lee Bartley Branch, Armindia "Tobabie" Bartley Oxendine, Charles Earnest Bartley and Ruthie Jane Bartley Lowery.

Brenda is survived by her son, Glen Ray Bartley (Trena) of Pensacola, FL; her husband, Dennis Ratliff of Jonesville, VA; stepdaughters, Jackie Fannon of Big Stone Gap, VA and Chantel Hall of Clintwood, VA; two brothers, Kenny Bartley (Dorothy) of Moyock, NC and Sammy Bartley of Lumberton; one sister, Louise Jacobs of Charlotte; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A time of visitation with friends and family will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026 from 6:00-8:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 2:00PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Pastor Ricky Burnett officiating.  Burial will follow at Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery in Fairmont, NC.
