Bradley Grimsley, age 79, of Lumberton, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County on September 21, 1932 to the late W.G. and Mallie Bailey Grimsley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Mildred Caulder Grimsley and Nina Jackson Grimsley and an adopted son, David Grimsley.

Mr. Grimsley is survived by two daughters, Marsha Grimsley and Julia Ann Hardee and husband, Alfie, all of Lumberton; six step-daughters, Jacqueline Bailey and husband, Martin of South Mills, NC, Geraldine Edwards and husband, Selwyn of Lumberton, Nancy Bass and husband, Richard of Liberty, SC, Frances Long of Elizabethton, TN, Vicki Graham and husband, Alex of Garner, NC and Doris Givens of Norfolk, VA; his step-son, Dickey Brigman of Lumberton; twenty-seven grandchildren and thirty-five great-grandchildren.

A Graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at 3:00PM at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton with Rev. George Connor and Rev. Russell Kinlaw officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
