Boyd Gray Phillips, age 76, died Monday, March 29, 2021, at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, NC. He was born in Robeson County, NC on July 1, 1944 and he was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Lee Phillips; his mother, Lois Downing Phillips; five brothers, Wayne Phillips, James "Bo" Phillips, Edward Phillips, Glenn Allen Phillips, and Ronald Phillips; and two sisters, Karen Lee and Lorain Watson.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Phillips; a son, Darren Phillips; a daughter, Ronna Grant and husband, Edgar of Lumberton; two brothers, Russell Phillips and wife Vickie and Gary Phillips, all of Lumberton; a sister, Sue Katzenberger and husband, Jim of Lumberton; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday, April 1, 2021, from 1:00-2:30 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM at New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton, NC with Rev. Billy Green and Rev. Bruce Brumfield officiating.
