Boyd ??Carl? Lindsey went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 after an extended illness. He was born on June 8, 1931 and resided in Robeson County working as a self employed long distance truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Boyd and Sadie Lindsey; an infant daughter, Angela; brothers, Frank, Henry, Fred, and Ed Lindsey; sisters, Shirley Britt and Sue Cummings.

Mr. Lindsey is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara Luvenia Wilcox Lindsey; daughters, Barbara and Larry Anderson, Joan and Ronald Surles and Sue Rouse, all of Lumberton; two sisters, Brenda and Joe Miller of Red Springs, Patsy and Doc Hilliard of Gloucester Point, VA; brother, William Lindsey and wife Pearl that came to live with him after their parents passed; three half-sisters, Betty Blackmon, Cathy Miller and Debbie Caulder; grandchildren, Tonya Dilda, Christopher Bailey, Ashleigh Surles, Amy Bullock, Elizabeth McDaniel; seven great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday evening, June 4, 2010 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. in Lumberton and funeral services will be Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Raynham Baptist Church at 3:00 PM with burial in the church cemetery.
